Description: ENGR 1000 (2) Introduction to Engineering is a required course in the Pre-engineering and Mechanical Engineering programs. A major part of ENGR 1000 is a design project in which the students participate on a team basis. Costs for this design project fall into one category only, consumables, which are mechanical and electrical components for their projects. The project is called a Stop-Shoot Vehicle (SSV). The components and associated costs per student per semester are summarized below:
Pre-requisite/Co-requisite: MATH 1060  or MATH 1080  or equivalent.
